NAME: John Paul II Center for Special Learning

DESCRIPTION: The John Paul II Center for Special Learning consists of a classroom wing, gymnasium, multi-purpose wing and a centralized administration core forming a protective courtyard for supervised playtime. Upon entry into the building, you are compelled to gaze skyward through a shaft of ethereal light emanating from a cupola perched high above you. The focal point of the design is a small chapel terminating the main entrance axis.

Classrooms were designed with the use of intense color to stimulate and encourage the development of children with special needs.

 
 

NAME: St. Thomas U.C.C.

LOCATION: Bernville, PA

PROGRAM: Church

DATE COMPLETED: Under construction

DESCRIPTION: The project consists of an addition to house a fellowship hall and education wing. Renovations are also being done to improve building circulation. This is the third expansion of this 90 year old structure so special consideration was made when designing to satisfy future congregational needs.




 

NAME: Titanium Hearth Technologies Inc.

LOCATION: Morgantown, PA

PROGRAM: New Office & Manufacturing Building

CLIENT: Titanium Hearth Technologies

SIZE: 94,000 S.F.

DATE COMPLETED: August 2002

DESCRIPTION: This project was a six building expansion under three different owners. It spanned 11 years and included office space, warehouse space, and furnace buildings. The company is the largest manufacturer of high grade titanium in the United States.

 
 
 

NAME: Wyomissing Field House Pavilion

LOCATION: Wyomissing, PA

PROGRAM: New Sports Facility and District Storage Building

CLIENT: Wyomissing Area School District

SIZE: 27,400 S.F.

DATE COMPLETED: September 2002

DESCRIPTION: The federal style architecture was designed to complement the existing buildings on campus. The new home for the athletic department includes a weight room, training facilities, locker rooms and district storage.

Positioning the building on the hillside took advantage of the slope to allow entry on two levels with district storage on the lower level and sports activities are accessed on the upper level adjacent to the sports fields.

 

 

NAME: Ammon Stoltzfus Memorial Center

LOCATION: Elverson, PA

PROGRAM: Private Community Center

CLIENT: Stoltzfus Enterprize

SIZE: 3,550 S.F.

DATE COMPLETED: 2002

DESCRIPTION: Attention to vernacular tradition was paramount in the design of this community center. Special care was taken in construction details as well as the selection of materials, which would allow the memorial center to meld into its environment in a locale rich in cultural heritage. A simple plan and large open spaces allow for maximum flexibility of use, while the quality of construction and materials ensure the longevity of this local landmark.
